Christmas Gift Ideas

Monogrammed Towels and Robes are stunning in a basket wrapped with cellophane and a beautiful ribbon all ready to give. The best thing is you don't have to wrap it.

I use a willow laundry basket to make a great presentation for those fabulous towels not to mention the usefulness of the laundry basket.

Monogrammed Christmas Stockings are always a fun gift. My stockings are made of dupioni silk lined with cotton and are monogrammed with silver metallic thread. Nice size and embellished with a silk hand made rose, the stocking itself is made by me. They a truly one of a kind since every one will be a slight bit different. Red and silver are the colors.

Hello my friends, soon it will be veterans day but today is the 9th my Dads anniversary he is gone
some 17 years.

He was the quintessential veteran, a soldier and a paratrooper in WW11 he fought in Germany and France and I'm so proud to have had him as my Dad.

My Mom was also in the service she was a Wac during the war and was stationed in Virginia Beach during that time. They met and fell in love and were married while still in the service , they wore their military uniforms.
I will always be so proud of my parents, true Americans in every sense of the word. I will honor you on Veterans Day and every day of my life.
In Honor of all Veterans

Hi and Happy New Year,

I have a tip for anyone that is doing embroidery and gets that annoying oil stain on a golf shirt. In the past I used a spray on stain remover, but it still leaves an undesirables spot on the shirt.

I decided to give corn starch a shot, and to my joyous surprise it worked like a charm.
Putting your article of clothing face down on an absorbent cloth place about a tablespoon or corn starch on the spot.
Rub it in gently and let it set for awhile, if the stain is still visible do it again. It may take a couple of times.

When it looks like it's out brush the powder away using a garment brush, and only on the inside of the garment till most of the powder is out. Tap on the spot a little  and gently brush the front of the garment. Voila`  no more spot!

Christmas Craft Fair 2012

This is the Craft Fair at the VFW Post 4927 in Centereach N.Y. There are so many things I make I couldn't possibly bring everything. So it was beautiful embroidered towels in the basket all wrapped and ready to go. Small hand towels great for the bath room or a gift. Some unusual embroidered angels with crystals all around.

Christmas stockings of course and blankets and hats.
